2017 ESA Heart’s St. Jude Raised Over $35,000

Each year collegiate ESA members across the United States raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and engage in a little friendly competition for awards in three categories: highest donation total, most creative event, and most chapter participation. This year $35,000 was raised in cash donations through the combined efforts of ESA Hearts St. Jude events nationally!

Psi Mu Chapter of the University of Pittsburgh won the bragging rights for highest donation total for ESA Hearts St. Jude Month at more than $9,800. The dedicated members at University of Pittsburgh put on a volleyball tournament to benefit St. Jude and made a strong commitment to raising funds individually. The Delta Zeta Chapter of George Washington University received the award for highest donation total for the year! Members at George Washington got a head start on their fundraising in November with their Gobblefest event.

The Alpha Omega Chapter of the University of Florida won the award for the most chapter participation! Members at University of Florida hosted a 5k event that got everyone energized and moving for St. Jude. Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville was awarded the most creative event for their Lip Sync Battle to benefit the kids.

Congratulations to all of the ESA Hearts St. Jude award winners and great work to all of our collegiate members that showed themselves to be dedicated to helping St. Jude end childhood cancer.
