Celebrating ESA's Millennial Members

All ESA members are a head above the rest, but this May – as graduation is upon us – we want to take a bit of time to appreciate our young ESA members, graduates or not. Coming from a generation that gets a pretty bad wrap our collegiate and young alumni members have accomplished some amazing things that we are so proud of!

This year ESA members at Eastern Illinois University helped raise over $16,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at their Up ‘Til Dawn event.

University of West Florida hosted a campus-wide sexual assault awareness campaign called “Fellows in Stilettos”. Men and women walked a mile around their campus in heels and raised money for the Quigley House, a safe shelter for victims of domestic violence.

Members at Indiana State University hosted a book drive and were able to donate more than 600 books to a local community shelter and pediatric hospital.

Illinois State University ESA members raised More than $1,700 was raised for the Special Olympics when they participated in the Polar Plunge.

These are only a few stories of the great work young ESA members are doing to support causes they are passionate about locally and nationally. From literacy, to St. Jude, and every cause in between our millennial members are working hard to help. That shouldn’t be much of a surprise since, according to a Pew Research Report, 21% of the Millennial generation said “helping others in need” was the most important thing in their life. That’s higher than their 30+ counterparts. Join us in celebrating the volunteer hours, funds raised, and memories made by our young ESA members. We can’t wait to see what they do next!
