ESA Foundation Endowment

The ESA Foundation Endowment was established from the estate of Ruth Gregg, July 15, 1999. The first scholarship was awarded in 2008

Ruth Gregg was a former member of Epsilon [Hollywood, California] and Eta Kappa [Torrance, California]. She was a member of Eta Kappa until she fell quite ill. Ruth Gregg was a dear friend to many and a long time supporter of the ESA Foundation. As a lover of the arts, Ruth enjoyed going to the Downey Civic Light Opera. Her friends and benefactor, Judie Cheesebrough remembers many wonderful hours spent with her and her children during a lifetime friendship and the final year of her life.

Ruth adored Judie’s children and they always went down to help her when she needed something especially when she became so ill. Ruth was very generous to her benefactors, which included the Kiwanis Scholarship, a couple of schools in Hollywood with scholarships, a very large donation to the Civic Light Opera actors training organization, and the ESA Foundation. The ESA Foundation Endowment and Ruth Gregg Memorial Endowment were established to honor the memory of Ruth Gregg’s life. Judie Cheesebrough and the California State Council assisted the ESA Foundaton with the special criteria for the endowment.
