Neta Hendricks Memorial Endowment
The Neta Hendricks Endowment was established by Beta Theta Chapter, Clermont, Florida February 4, 2007. Beta Theta Chapter established this endowment as a fitting memorial for a dearly loved sister who lost her long battle with cancer. The first scholarship was given in 2011.
Neta was more than an “active” member of the chapter – she served in almost every elected and / or appointed office during her seventeen years as an ESA sister. Every job she took on was accomplished with a sense of enthusiasm – mixed with a determination to do the job well. Her spirit was infectious. She inspired everyone to do their best.
Neta was the mother of six children, two stepchildren, and an accomplished business woman. After losing her husband to cancer while her sons were in their early teens, she worked hard to give them everything they needed and was able to buy a home for them to enjoy as they grew to manhood.
Beta Theta sisters and her family know of her love of learning, and felt this endowment would be a perfect memorial for a strong woman who was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
