Zeta Chi supports literacy and the future
Zeta Chi Chapter of Hot Springs, AR, hosted a “Bookcases for Our Children” event at the Boys & Girls Club of Hot Springs, at which Zeta Chi presented 50 bookcases, each with 25 books, to 65 excited children from local schools. Children were selected based on a demonstrated interest in reading and financial need.
With grants from the Hot Springs Community Foundation, Dorothy Morris, Youth Advisory Council and many generous individual donors, the “Bookcases for Our Children” board was able to purchase over 1,000 books, including a dictionary for each bookcase. Volunteers helped assemble the cases, donated “Reading Buddy” bears, assisted in selecting recipients, provided refreshments during the event and delivered bookcases.
Amazing job, Zeta Chi! We are so proud that ESA members have made such a difference in the lives of children. The future is made better through increased literacy and resources for children to read. Zeta Chi is making a difference for individual families, but also for the world! Many thanks!
