Meet Sierra Burton


Meet Sierra Burton, ESA’s newest Elan member. She was sponsored by Mildred Edwards of Alpha Xi. Sierra is the daughter of Joy Burton who has been in Alpha Xi just a few years. Joy was also sponsored by Mildred. We welcomed this bright young lady into ESA at the state convention in 2014 in Norfolk. She was presented with an award by our then state president, Carol Campbell. Sierra at work in the Virginia Beach Aquarium. Here is what her Mother had to say about Sierra: Sierra just turned 14 and is going into her freshman year at Norfolk Academy.  In the Fall, she is involved with the dance team, but her true passion lies in the game of soccer. Sierra was the Captain of her school soccer team this past Spring and led the girls to an 8-2 record this season.  Sierra is very creative and likes to display her creativity through hairstyles, nail designs, paintings on canvas and her favorite, photography.  She loves children and has a heart of gold! She enjoys watching romantic  comedies, cooking and listening to all kinds of music.  She will be volunteering a couple days a week during the summer, mostly the  morning shift. I drop her off at 9:00 am and pick her up at 1:00 pm.
