Highlights of ESA's 2010 convention in Minneapolis
The 2010 International Council Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota included cruises on the Mississippi, a casino night, a beachcomber bash featuring a spontaneous squirt gun battle, along with workshops that included topics ranging from "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" food fests to ways to avoid cyber-crime.
Throughout the convention, speakers such as Karle Mulle, who talked about “EnterTrainment," and“Famous Dave” Anderson, who did a workshop on personal development, provided personal messages for their ESA audience. Also, representatives from the armed services, Easter Seals, St. Jude, and the local Minneapolis food bank made presentations focusing on the impact of ESA’s good works. Friday evening ESA’s “Mall Madness” fundraiser for St. Jude took everyone to the Mall of America for an evening of retail therapy.
Saturday evening featured the installation of ESA’s new International Council officers along withour annual presentation of dollars to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
This year ESA’s total was $8,526,930 dollars, which, combined with totals from previous years, brings ESA’s total contributions to over $140 million, maintaining ESA’s proud tradition of being the hospital’s largest third-party donor.
